Are we soon to see an improvement in the splogs? I’m tearing out my hair tonight trying to find anything via blogsearch.google.com. All I can find are splogs or deleted blogs.
Here, to see what I mean, you try this. Go to blogsearch.google.com and type in “wedding planning, floral arrangements”. See… nothing but bunk.
In fact, check out this screenshot from one of the blogspot blogs (last update Oct 2005):
I’m pretty sure that’s keyword spamming, right?
The ultimate irony… It’s actually been comment-spammed 😉
Please fix your services, Google, I need to use them…
The financial model for splogs like this escapes me. Is it purely based on click-through? How?
Probably they are trying to have a ‘keyword rich’ site point to theirs. However, a splog pointing to you is not helpful neither is a link to a blog like this on your site (hence the reason I DIDN’T link to it).
Dennis, there are stupid people out there and now those stupid people have access to blogs.
We are in for another wave of this when Vista hits…
