I got my PhoneGnome email this month and this was included:
We’ve released a new version of our GnomeLink for Skype software.
GnomeLink extends the capabilities of PhoneGnome to include interoperability
with Skype software on your PC. GnomeLink allows PhoneGnome users to call
Skype users from their standard telephone, and to answer Skype calls on
their home phone.* Place calls to Skype users by adding them to your
PhoneGnome Phonebook and using click-to-dial.
* View the on-line status of Skype buddies directly on your
My PhoneGnome Phonebook.
* Call Skype users directly from your ordinary phone using a
speed dial code assigned to a Skype user.
* Send calls to SkypeOut by dialing **75 number on your
normal phone.
* Answer Skype calls on your normal home phone — the same
phone where you answer all your other calls. The latest version of the GnomeLink for Skype software provides significant
improvements, including:* Fixes some bugs that could cause Skype to hang
* MUCH IMPROVED handling of Skype startup and shutdown
* More efficient processing of Skype API messages
* Fixes some general bugs to do with incorrectly ending calls
Pretty cool the way they’ve tied Skype (aff link) in so well. I love my PhoneGnome!
