I’ve been meaning to do this since Easton first dreamed up the Blogtipping idea, but have been far too stingy with my time. However, after Easton tipped me last month I knew I had to return the favor.
Easton’s Business Blog Wire is one of the best resources on business blogging on the net. He posts frequently and is always on topic, and his enthusiasm for the topic is evident from the first reading. Here’s what I luv about Easton’s blog:
1. Cooperative Spirit
Easton’s blog is the quintessential community blog. It’s not that anyone else ever blogs on it (other than a few guest posts here and there), but his posts generate comments, links and conversation. He’s a frequent commenter and he understands that in order to receive you must give, give, give. From the early days of his blog, Easton has made a considerable effort to play nice, and his blog is successful partially because he is such a great friend maker. If I had a gold star for personality, I’d give it to Easton (hey, there’s an idea for a badge. hmm…)
2. Great Content
That said, his content is top notch. You’ll find a treasure trove of corporate blog dissection there, in addition to breaking news on blogging and blogging related posts designed to help you write your own business blog. Easton’s passion shines through, and this is a perfect example of why people who want to blog for a living should look to their passion for direction when choosing a blogging topic. Easton loves business blogging, and you can see that in his writing.
3. Uses Pics Well
With his adsense placement, up-front pics are a problem. A lazy blogger might choose to ignore pictures altogether, but Easton knows that people read longer when they have pictures to break up the text and he uses pictures well for that purpose.
Tip: I’d love to have a weekly blogging business newsletter. Email newsletters reach people who can’t keep up with daily reports, but still want to stay informed. Lots of work, but worth it to really reach your audience.
So, there’s my tip of the hat and wag of the finger for Easton. Hugs to Easton for being a great friend and a great blogger.

Watch out Robyn – Blogtipping is a bit addictive and you’ll find yourself doing it again next month!
Char, I really should do this more often. It was fun and Easton certainly deserves it.
Thank you, Robyn. Always unexpected, always deeply appreciated. Your tip is a great one and I’ll do my best to put it into action!
