In my travels today I came across this ad on one of my own sites. I don’t know what happens when you click it because I’m not clicking my own ads. Anyway, hovering over it actually shows alt text (Call this number in the United States of America with Skype *phone number*), different from most Google Ads, and the hover changes the dimensions of the pics. It appears to make the image darker to give it depth. Very cool Google.
Looks like this is what Skype does to all numbers like that in Firefox (don’t get that in IE7). Darn, thought it was something new w/Google Adsense’s click to call program. 🙁
Hey Robyn! I noticed you added the images next to your ads too 🙂 Did they work out well for you? There is significant improvement in the number of clicks in my trekking blog, but unfortunately I don’t have enough traffic in that blog to determine exactly how many percent 😛
Yeah, wasn’t going to, but I added it to my diet site and it was so pretty I thought I’d probably like it here too. 🙂 Today I actually got less clicks across all sites. I’ll test for a few weeks and then take them down if they aren’t doing better.
