You all have read my dissatisfaction with JotSpot/Google over their affiliate program’s handling. Were I not someone who writes quite a bit on affiliate advertising I probably would have just let it go, but they customer service response was odd, to say the least. However, I was able to find a friend who would allow me to deposit the money into his PayPal account and I did get confirmation from JotSpot that I would get my money.
That being over, I haven’t thought about JotSpot since (I stopped using them for my two wikis when this happened), but I read this earlier and it made me do a double take. JotSpot has allegedly put pressure on one of their partners (their first one actually) and coerced him into removing a blog post that was damning to their company AFTER it had made it onto TechMeme.
a relatively new blogger named “Kevin” deleted a titled “The JotSpot Google Merger,” where he complained that JotSpot left them stranded as a partner after Google acquired the company last month.
Who is making the decisions over there? Also, why haven’t they responded in the comments over on TechCrunch. I KNOW they know this is out there, because they found my negative post within an hour (RSS alert?) and commented, albeit surly.

Here from techcrunch – you’ve got a great site and this is an excellent point about the JotSpot debacle.
BTW – the founder of JotSpot left a comment right after yours on TechCrunch … he was actually pretty cool about the whole thing.
Thanks Anita. I’ll check back there right now
