I signed up my husband to try out AdCenter last month using one of their ‘free $100’ search coupons. I was excited because adcenter sends some of my affiliate ads better traffic than Adwords or Yahoo. However, this experience made me so mad that I’m literally seething here at my desk.
I’ve spent MUCH less than the $100 of the ‘free $100’, yet they just charged the credit card for $150. Of course, when I asked for a refund they said there would be none as the credit to the account is not refundable. So now I have a $150 credit on an account that I’d never use.
I’m about to call Visa and have the charge removed, but it really ticks me off because I’ll have to have my card canceled and resent and it’s my only check card for that account (my main household account) and we are a week from Christmas.
I can’t believe I considered working for Microsoft for a time. We actually got to the ‘fly you out to Seattle’ part and ironically it was for a position in Adcenter last year. Argh!
