My Blog Gone From Google’s Index

In an odd turn of events, I can’t find this blog anywhere within the index. For some reason when I search for my name, the name of the blog or even the url, I can’t make the blog come up at all.

A week or two ago, I know this blog ranked #1 for all three of those terms, now it’s gone completely. Any ideas?

  1. Well… here are three possibilities:

    1. Was it something you said?
    2. Not enough fiber in your diet?
    3. You have to type with dignity (meaning, you hold your pinkie up when you type)

Sorry, Robyn, that just about exhausted my level of expertise in this area! 😀

  2. Robyn,
I think that there is a glitch of sorts… your site still registers inbound links (query link:http://sleepyblogger.com/), similar pages (query related:http://sleepyblogger.com) and is still registering Page Rank (5 of 10). But if you are looking for a conspiracy theory, maybe they just realized you work for the other guys?

I am sure that someone important in Mountain View will read this and get everything back on track.

  3. It’s true – you are banned. Happened to friends of mine with a PR6 site – suddenly they were not ranked anymore. In their case it had to do with pop up ads they were running. As they stopped that, PageRank began to normalize.
We tried to contact someone at Google per phone, fax and eMail – no reaction whatsoever.
You maybe too yahooey, working for MyBlogLog. 😉

  4. Wow, that’s really not cool =/ I just did a search for the heck of it and I was at least able to find your blog via MBL, BlogCatalog and all the other networking style sites. So I guess if there’s any silver lining, at least you haven’t disappeared completely from Google 🙂

  5. Yea, maybe Zep is right – Google could be punishing you for the whole Yahoo! thing, but surely they wouldn’t be so petty.. would they?

@google, please don’t ban my site because I called you petty. Go Google!
